Grandma, Pearl, always kept cookies in her big jar. She somehow found time to cook cookies and they always seemed available for grandchildren. She also had a candy jar locked up in her cabinet. She kept the key in her apron pocket. Games were stored in her buffet. The cabinet had a secret drawer that was fun to find.
