Melva Swagerty’s father, Jesse Boone, with his wife, Leota and her granddaughter, Sharron, visit Melva’s family at her Calhoun Way house in Stockton, CA in 1957.
Floyd Swagerty and his brother-in-law, Ronnie Boone roast a whole pig in the Calhoun Way back yard in 1957. They spent hours putting bbq sauce on it and hand-cranking the spit. When they were done, the skin came off, and it had no benefit from all those hours of applying the sauce.
