Swagerty/Boone Videos, 1962-1968

Jane Swagerty’s 11th birthday party at her Calhoun Way backyard in Stockton, CA, in 1962. Melva Swagerty was behind the camera, and unfortunately held it upside down at first.

The Floyd and Melva Swagerty family went on a camping trip to Tuolumne Meadows in Yosemite National Park in 1964. Donna brought Ann La Rue and Brian brought Bill DuBois. The two guys at the end of the video are boys Ann and Donna met at the campground. Also pictured are Melva, Jane, and Grant Swagerty.

Jane Swagerty arrives from two different swimming events at the Stockton Airport. In the first arrival, she happened to be on the same plane as her cousin, Keith Swagerty, who was returning from a UOP basketball event in 1967.
Brian Swagerty was a part of some legendary TP hits on friend’s houses. They finally paid him back, and Brian had to get rid of the evidence. This was at the Dwight Way home in Stockton, CA, in 1967.
Jane Swagerty qualified for the 1968 Mexico City Olympics, and Floyd and Melva Swagerty got to attend. This is an Olympic Building in Mexico City.
Jane Swagerty swims the backstroke in a qualifying round of the Women’s 4 x 100 Meter Medley Relay. She didn’t earn a medal, as she didn’t swim in the finals. By today’s rules, she would have been awarded a gold medal for being part of the effort. She did earn a bronze medal in the Women’s 100 Meter Backstroke, though.
In 1968, Floyd and Melva Swagerty tour the sites in and around Mexico City, including climbing a pyramid.
